Location: Northern area of the Pennine way with accommodation at YHA Langdon Beck (Now CP3 on the full Spine) in Middleton in Teesdale.

Cavill Coaching are hosting a winter training weekend which will focus on training for the winter Spine events. It will also be beneficial to anyone who may be considering such an event in the future.
We will host the weekend and provide talks and discussions on the relevant skills, strategies and equipment required. We will also take you out on sections of the Pennine way, providing transport to and from the start of the sections to enable best use of time and flexibility for those who would like to do more or less.
Activities over the weekend are all optional so people can dip in and out of sessions as they wish.
Friday evening – arrival, room allocation and settling in.
-Early morning run/Yoga/stretch.
-Discussion on kit, pacing and navigation.
-Longer group run/pacing practice in full kit.
-Night or dark run/head torch and night navigation practice.
-Evening discussion – Strategies on sleep, checkpoints, foot care, drop bags and Q&A.
-Longer group run with short and long options.
– Optional stayover on Sunday night. We will have the Youth Hostel until Monday morning so you can depart/shower and checkout at your leisure.
As mentioned everything is optional and you can dip in and out of sessions as you please.
Over the weekend, we will cover from the A66 to Alston, which comprises some challenging sections to navigate as well as some of the most beautiful (High Cup Nick, High force waterfall, Cross fell) that will be broken down over the weekend into manageable sections. For those doing the full Spine it is a great chance to see the new checkpoint at Langdon Beck.
We will not provide meals however you will have full use of the kitchen in the Youth Hostel or you can head to Middleton for evening meals. We will provide light refreshments – tea and coffee.
Price is £190 per person which includes the accommodation in the Youth Hostel.
